Prof. Arief Rahman

Arief Rachman (born in Malang, June 19, 1942, age 74 years) is a teacher who has taught high school and became head Labschool, Rawamangun, Jakarta. Besides, he has also been an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia and now appointed as professor at the State University of Jakarta

In 2000 Arief Rachman was active as a host of religious program on RCTI Dawn Wisdom Islam.

The great teacher is not teaching anymore, but is still active in the world of education. It can be said as one of the Indonesian education, and had asked his opinion when US President George W. Bush visited Indonesia on November 20, 2006.

He was formerly active in the organization of Islamic Student Indonesia (PII), he currently serves UNESCO ambassador of Indonesia and as Vice Chairman of the Fact Finding Commission IPDN force established by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and chaired by Rashid Ryaas.
